“For the king knows about these matters. It is to him I am actually speaking boldly. For I am convinced that none of these things escapes his notice, since this was not done in a corner. What I see here is Paul, who has obviously been detained and imprisoned, is still looking to serve Jesus first. He is obviously forgiving anyone who has caused him this trouble, and instead wants them to have eternal life. I hope and pray that I can be like Paul and forgive my persecutors and hope for them to have the greatest gift of all, which is eternal life.
